Hydration check‼️

When the heat rises, hydration becomes non‑negotiable. Water helps regulate body temperature, supports circulation, digestion, energy, and helps your body cool itself through sweating.
Do you remember the water rule?
➡️ Half your body weight in oz
How about when it's hot outside?
🤔 I'll wait.
Well, if you're thinking about it, then you might already be dehydrated.
Quick signs you may be getting dehydrated:
- Thirst, dry mouth
- Headache, dizziness, fatigue
- Dark yellow urine or going less often
- Muscle cramps
-Rapid heartbeat
-Higher than usual blood pressure
💦Hydration basics that help:
- Sip water consistently (don’t wait until you’re thirsty)
- Add extra fluids when you’re sweating or outdoors
- Pair water with minerals (electrolytes) when it’s very hot
Natural remedies to support hydration (especially in heat):
- Coconut water (natural electrolytes)
- Homemade electrolyte drink: water + a pinch of sea salt + a squeeze of lemon/lime
- Water-rich foods: cucumber, watermelon, oranges, berries, leafy greens
- Herbal iced teas (unsweetened): 🌺hibiscus, peppermint, ginger (cooling and refreshing) ... the only time I advocate for iced drinks.
Heat tip: If you’re feeling overheated, move to shade/AC, loosen clothing, cool your wrists/neck, and sip fluids slowly. Still no relief? Get some medical attention!
